Overdue Payments and Subscription Cancellation
Optimole subscriptions are billed automatically through FastSpring. If FastSpring cannot collect payment at renewal, your subscription may become overdue and eventually be cancelled. This article explains how to resolve an overdue payment and how to restore service if your subscription has already been cancelled.
Before renewal: keep a supported payment method available
To avoid service interruption at renewal time:
1. Log in to dashboard.optimole.com and navigate to Settings.
2. Click Manage subscription to open the FastSpring billing portal.
3. Select Account Details and Payment Methods and review the payment method on file.
4. Update the payment method before the renewal date if the current one is expired or unavailable.
⚠️ Important: Make sure a valid payment method is available in FastSpring before your renewal date. If FastSpring cannot collect payment at renewal, your subscription may be suspended or cancelled.
Next steps for overdue payments
If you receive an overdue payment notification from FastSpring for your Optimole subscription:
1. Log in to dashboard.optimole.com and navigate to Settings.
2. Click Manage subscription to open the FastSpring billing portal.
3. Review your payment method under Account Details and Payment Methods and update it if needed.
4. Complete the outstanding payment to keep your subscription active.
⚠️ Important: If an overdue payment is not resolved, your Optimole subscription may be suspended or permanently cancelled. Once cancelled, the subscription cannot be reactivated — you will need to purchase a new subscription.
If your subscription was cancelled for non-payment
If FastSpring was unable to collect payment and your Optimole subscription has been cancelled:
1. Log in to dashboard.optimole.com and navigate to Settings to confirm your subscription status.
2. If the subscription is listed as cancelled or inactive, you will need to purchase a new Optimole subscription. Visit the Optimole pricing page and select a plan using a supported payment option.
3. After purchasing, if your new subscription does not automatically connect to the correct account or domain, contact Optimole support at friends@optimole.com for help linking it.
📝 Note: A cancelled subscription cannot be reactivated. Purchasing a new subscription is the only way to restore Optimole service after a cancellation for non-payment.
