What Content Delivery Network (CDN) do you use?

Currently, all users are on CloudFront CDN from Amazon, having access to all their available locations, indifferent if you are on the free/premium Optimole plan. Optimole's CDN is powered by Amazon CloudFront, with 450 locations worldwide, ensuring lightning-fast image delivery and a smooth browsing experience for your visitors, no matter where they are.

📝Note: There are new locations constantly added so the map above might not reflect all of them; if you're interested in a specific location or want to check all the available locations please refer to this page: Network Locations.

Where are Optimole's servers located?

Optimole delivers your images through Amazon CloudFront, a global CDN, so there is no single fixed location for image delivery. CloudFront automatically serves each image from the edge location closest to the visitor, based on their geographic proximity and current network conditions. This means the same image can be delivered from different locations depending on where each visitor is.

If you also use the Store your images in Optimole Cloud feature, your original images are stored in Optimole's cloud infrastructure, not only cached for delivery through the CDN. See Store your images in Optimole Cloud for how that feature works.

For the current list of CloudFront delivery locations, refer to the official AWS CloudFront Network Locations page. AWS may add or change locations over time.

GDPR and privacy policy considerations

If you are reviewing Optimole for GDPR or preparing your site's privacy policy, keep in mind that the information above describes Optimole's image delivery infrastructure. Global CDN delivery locations are not the same as where your data is processed and stored, which is usually the more relevant question for a data-processing or privacy review.

For the details a compliance review typically needs — such as where your data is processed and stored, whether data is transferred outside your region, and the available data-processing documentation — contact Optimole. The team can share Optimole's current Privacy Policy and provide a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) if your review requires one. You can also review the Optimole Terms.
